While it is true, a Rep. Clymer conceded, older Black voters are uncomfortable with gay rights, gay marriage, etc. It is racist to claim it is because they are Black. Older white voters are more likely to be homophobic, too. Being an evangelical is even more predictive.
So, if older Black voters are more likely to feel homophobic, it is a matter of age and religion, not of race. It is racist to make it about race as Boy George and other Buttigieg supporters are. After all, who is really voting for Trump/Pence and the antigay GOP agenda?
Damn, Rep Clyburn not Clymer and I knew better since I write about his 10-20-30 plan a lot. Damn predictive typing.
And really, with Black voters the base of the Democratic Party, how helpful is it to be claiming Buttigieg is not winning Black voters because they're bigots? If you want to attack the most loyal voting bloc in the party, go ahead. I don't like Mayor Pete much & won't miss him
