Like Brave Sir Boris would warn his Uxbridge team he was about to abandon them.

They'll just arrive at the office one morning, find the stationery cupboard and petty cash are empty and that he's fucked off to Melton and Rutland in the middle of the night.
I mean COME ON. That's his entire MO.

I refuse to believe otherwise.

We are London and we stand tall, together.

We have done so for almost two thousand years.

We are NOT just part of the country that surrounds us. We are one of its melting pots, and we help make it BETTER than the sum of its parts.
And ANYONE who wants to deny the value of that melting pot, of the beauty and benefit of multiculturalism to this country...

Well, they have to fucking come through us.
And last time I checked, there were about twelve million of us.

Right. So this gives me an opportunity to tell my favourite WW2 tea story. I came across it in a short, limited run book of first-hand accounts of tea in combat published in 1945.

It's about a young lady, the Blitz, tea, and why small acts of kindness matter. (Pic: IWM) /1
This particular young lady was about 20 at the time and a WRVS volunteer (from memory). This had led to her being tasked with working on a tea van.

You know, the ones you see in a lot of photos of ruined London during WW2, serving victims and rescue workers
Now stop and think for a second about what this duty actually involves.

Most photos show the vans there in the AFTERMATH, but what you DON'T see is that THEY'D GO OUT DURING THE BOMBING TOO.

Wherever the emergency services were fighting fires/saving lives? They needed tea.

2006 it was after our newly built company launched. We were feeling fly and unboxing equipment straight from Apple Store in the United States. All our prayers had just been answered, even up to the specs of the paper clip. We were invincible, elated & high. #StartUpFails

Since @JoeNBC has gotten to doing random evidence-free smears on Russia, I think we ought to look back at his personal history. Especially, his interns.

Joe was elected to congress in 1994 for Florida's first district as a Republican.
@JoeNBC On a total side note, the election between Bush and Gore was a little over 500 votes! Why did the Democrats let this seat go unopposed?

This down-ballot seat could have brought them those 500 desperately needed votes!
@JoeNBC In 1999, Joe got divorced from his first wife. Curiously enough, in May of 2001, Joe announced that he would resign from congress. He cited his role as a newly single dad and how he needed to spend more time with kids.

THREAD on #CBDC & #cash

Having a central bank digital currency alongside cash is effectively like the govt offering 2 different competing monies, b/c they have different characteristics, risk profiles, etc.
Cash is better for privacy, not subject to systemic digital failures, & accessible to all (even those who can't afford digital svcs).
CBDC may be cheaper for govt to offer, enables greater use of negative interest rates as a tool of monetary policy, makes money laundering/terrorist financing more difficult, reduces friction in txns, & enables financial inclusion.*

*Just stating args-don't necessarily agree.

Now I arrive at my thirteenth President. I find myself at a loss to fully explain my feelings, because, after two years, when I expected at least some of the same sense I had of the prior twelve...
