Alright, I guess because it's driving me nuts I'm going to try and lay out, as best as I understand it, exactly what the president of the United States and Fox News thinks happened with Ukraine and the DNC email hack in '16
So, in 2016 it wasn't Russia that hacked the DNC emails and sent them to Wikileaks, it was actually Ukraine. And the DNC. The DNC hacked themselves
They did this to help Hillary Clinton. Ukraine helped the DNC hack themselves and and then strategically release the emails at times that would most benefit Donald Trump. This was done to help Hillary Clinton
After the DNC figured out they had been hacked (which they actually did to themselves) they wanted to know who did it. So they hired a firm (Crowdstrike) to do a fake investigation
But the DNC didn't really want the hacking investigated, they wanted it covered up and they wanted to frame Russia for the hacking. That's why they didn't give the actual physical server to the FBI to investigate
Crowdstrike took the DNC server (I'm guessing they think this is about the size of a desktop) to Ukraine and put it behind lock and key
At this point Crowdstrike and Ukraine framed Russia for hacking the DNC. Keep in mind Ukraine actually hacked the DNC to help Hillary win the election
Anyway, that's about as best as I understand this conspiracy theory that the guy who holds the nuclear codes believes
