Yesterday, was a pretty good day for the GOP in elections. Of course if you listen to the fake media it wasn't. The GOP swept MS, they swept KY except for gov, they lost a couple state Senate and house seats in VA, Sanctuary City status was defeated in Tuscon, AZ.
The flip of VA state gov for Dems was about the same level as the flip of the LA gov for the GOP a couple weeks ago. (Something not talked about by fake media). If and when the VA GOP stops acting like Bush clones they might take back the state gov.
It's clear that red States are getting reder and blue states are getting bluer. Typical of a base elections cycle. How battleground states react is much more important. Of course the fake media will tell you none of this. They will scream "muh Trump supporters are all doomed"
I hardly pay attention to their screams anymore. It's been the same crap for years now. Your experience may vary. Next election is LA. Gov and some runoffs of state Senate/rep offices.
If you ignore the fake media, it's clear the Impeachment inquiry is failing. If not the Dems wouldn't be moving the goal posts. Trump continues to hold his support. Nothing has changed from yesterday to today.
The Dems at the national level have nothing and now they have less than nothing. I can see Nervous Nancy forced to pass USMCA just to say she actually did something this year. The Dems are rapidly running out of room.
IMO the longer this farce goes on the better for Trump. The fact that Trump's support is solid means that he can move to closer to the middle as the year goes on. The Dems because of Trump hate™ can only go further left to appease their hate hungry base.
I have no problem with the election results last night. VA has been trending Dem for a decade. The tea party revolt of 2010 was not well received by the GOpe in VA. The KY gov race can be explained by the candidate since the GOP swept the rest of the races. MS was great.
Anyone that are worried about these state elections are allowing the fake media to control their emotions. The results were fine. If Trump was really in trouble more then a couple state Senate and house seats would have been lost in VA. The districts lost were like +8 Hillary
If Trump and the GOP were in trouble they would have lost all the KY races or more than just the one. Same in MS. If the Dems were winning on Immigration, Tuscon would have voted for Sanctuary City status.
If you thought 2020 was going to be easy maybe last night was a wake up call. A Trump landslide is still very possible but the Dems still have some strengths. If you are worried work harder, donate more, and/or get more involved. Hell, do that even if you aren't worried.
