Sunday 11/10: Oboke Gorge + Iya Valley

Starting the day off with my first #gachapon - hermit crabs in buildings!
So I think we're up to 20 tunnels we've driven through today.
The Oboke Pleasure Boat Cruise was an absolute delight. One of my top 5 things I've done in Japan. The Oboke Gorge is so beautiful!

Driving through the mountains in Shikoku was beautiful
Found a random unmarked bridge to nowhere in the Iya Valley
Found a few vine bridges and a fun cart on ropes over the river
Also found a scarecrow village that is the stuff of nightmares #shikoku

Here is a thread for people who are alone today and it hurts. I've been there many times. Here's my survival tips:
1. Even if you're not Christian, even if you don't want to observe Christmas, even if you're trying to say this day means nothing to you, it's still 100% legit and understandable that being alone today would hurt. It's okay to let it hurt.
2. Treat yourself treat yourself treat yourself treat yourself. You deserve to be showered with love and you can give that love to yourself and there's nothing wrong with giving yourself love

3-First critical point to note is whether this deal will end up securing the highway that passes through Idlib and links the north and south of the country under Govt control together. This was of course one of the strategic aims of Damascus from any #Idlib operation

Oh hey, we haven't talked about .NET Core in a while. We've been making some progress, here's what's been going on over at Stack Overflow...
- @marcgravell and I shipped SE.Redis v2.0
- I'm porting everything to EF Core (not 100% yet)
- @m0sa has been working on MoonSpeak (localization) and performance with Marc
- @deanward81 has been tearing out loads of old email code to finish the StackMail migration
@marcgravell @m0sa @deanward81 - @kevinmontrose has been suffering through auth code to deprecate openid.stackexchange.com and move us to all-OAuth (and simplify things), allowing us to kill DotNetOpenAuth usage.
- The rest of the teams are progressing on other work while we advance the .NET Core initiative

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
