If Fin was yelling "the house is on fire!" and Fan was yelling "shut up no it isn't!..."
When the house burns down, Fin wasn't wrong just because the fire moved fast, and the newspaper that published "both sides" as smoke poured out the windows is culpable of gross malpractice.

Why were they viewed as fringe, headline writer for the NYT, employer of climate deniers for the sake of "balance," why why why. 
What everyone needs to do is take full stock of our addiction to receiving the truth and lies as equal sides and media must explain to how they are going to change in a world of weaponized equivalency.
