Right-wing firestarters like Don Jr. and Kimberley Guilfoyle (and Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro, and Milo, and all these trainwrecks) don't REALLY want to speak on college campuses. They just want to bait students into running them off campus, so they can martyrize themselves.
That's why none of these people ever try to connect with their audience, speak about common ground issues, or really do anything at all that would be conducive to constructive political dialogue.

They just go, you're all a bunch of cucked libtards, throw us out I dare you.
Fact is, studies show time and again that college students are among the *most* open-minded demographic to listening to new political ideas.

A serious person pushing right-wing ideas in an intellectually honest way would probably find an audience there. vox.com/policy-and-pol…
But that's not what these people are doing.

These events are not attempts to politically engage college students. They're carefully-planned propaganda stunts to create Fox News footage that makes college campuses look like they're full of radical freaks who hate America.
The whole point is to tar institutions of higher learning — places where scientific inquiry and debate can challenge and fact-check public policy — as evil, bad, not worth listening to, and perhaps something that should be defunded and replaced with overtly partisan think tanks.
It's tempting to dismiss Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle as just narcissistic weirdos begging for attention, but stunts like this are actually part of a much broader long-term information war the Right has been using to persuade the public to marginalize our institutions.
