This is basically indistinguishable from the comment -- also made on Dobbs' show -- that got a Judicial Watch operative permanently banned from Fox and Fox Business. Is Fox going to take action here? mediamatters.org/lou-dobbs/lou-…
Dobbs has since made it abundantly clear that he doesn't care about this sort of thing at all mediamatters.org/lou-dobbs/lou-…
diGenova has been a key member of Sean Hannity's conspiracy theorist brigade for years, and is deeply tied in to the Ukraine scandal mediamatters.org/fox-news/trump…
After Chris Farell called the State Department "Soros-occupied," Fox issued a statement saying "we condemn the rhetoric" and banned him. diGenova's commentary is much more detailed -- Soros controls much of the Foreign Service and FBI. Will Fox hold to the standard it laid down?
Basically the only difference between diGenova's comment and the one that got Farrell banned is @joshtpm didn't catch the diGenova one immediately after a white supremacist murdered a bunch of Jews based on anti-Semitic Soros conspiracy theories.
Fox was not specific at the time about what they found reprehensible about Farrell’s rhetoric - if they want to argue that it was about linking Soros to the caravan and not the State stuff they have to ban a bunch more people.
There are many reasons Fox should ban Joe diGenova from its networks - he has a massive conflict as his Ukraine commentary benefits his Russian mob linked oligarch client seeking to avoid U.S. prosecution. But this is the reason for which Fox has provided a precedent.
