However, it is clear that the press secretary did not read the article, only the headline. Or she assumed the UCP base would not read the entire article. She hoped Albertans would see big numbers in the headline and get all riled up. And it does appear to be working. 3/8
People of a right-wing tendency are reposting and commenting about the NDP being way more extravagant. But, that is not what the article says. What it says, in the body of the article, in part: 4/8 
The $10,000 buffet lunch in Tokyo? That was for 200 people. That is $50 Canadian per person. In Tokyo. Which, as many will realise, is similar to London in terms of costs. 5/8
The UCP is playing a shell game with Albertans. They wave big numbers to vilify opponents and offer cherry-picked bits of information out of context. They bait and switch. 6/8
Not unlike when, during the federal campaign, Andrew Scheer promised to increase health care funding by 3% per year, without noting that this amounted to less than was already in the most recent Liberal budget. 7/8
If the facts do not conform to what you need to back up your argument, simply change the facts. Harper taught them all that truth was what he said it was. Kenney, Scheer, Ford, et al, are continuing in this tradition. It is misleading, disingenuous, and disrespectful. 8/8
