I find I have to temper my desire to add my energy to fight the forces trying to take out Trump. Their actions appear selfishly motivated to advance their power and keep him from holding them accountable for their own wrongdoing.
Yet I know Trump doesn't reflect some of the values I hold dear, and his personality and actions often exacerbate the conflicts and divide already existing within our society.
Still, Trump represents what perhaps may be our last best hope to restore the promise of our nation and the principles upon which it was founded. Yet to stand idly by doesn't sit well, despite my own choice for peace if possible, assuming that promise can be preserved.
I know that the battle is as much spiritual as political, not just in the good v. evil sense, but also in its test of our ability to love each other and move forward in a way that serves out ability to live the lives we want free of oppression and control.
I see darkness all around, and know only illumination by spirit can light the way. But the fight drags us in ever deeper, challenging me to remain true to my own path without succumbing to those who would feed off the fear and loathing it triggers.
I don't pretend to know how it will turn out, but I can see the energies are working too illuminate all that's wrong with our world and offer us choices, and responsibility, how to meet it.
All I can do - and recommend - is to take it one step and breath at a time, with eyes open, love in our hearts and holding tight to the vision that it all serves our journey back to the Oneness at our core. From there, all things are possible.
