On this day, exactly 46 years ago, The Mother's body was placed in the Samadhi in Ashram courtyard, in a vault above #SriAurobindo's

Let us try to go through Her & Sri Aurobindo's inner & outer journey in Pondicherry, from Her Arrival in 1920 till Her apparent Departure in 1973.

1) Arrival in Pondicherry, Mother's stay in Bayoud House:

The Mother arrived in Pondicherry on 24 Apr, 1920 along with Paul Richard & Datta, & stayed in Bayoud House for ~half year.

Along with the ongoing work on the 'Arya', the 'Deva-Sangha' was slowly beginning to be formed:

2) Mother moves to Guest House:

Due to a tumultuous relationship with the Mother, Paul decided to leave Pondicherry in Nov-1920. She moved to #SriAurobindo's residence on 24 Nov as advised by Him after a local cyclone..

The Yoga was now beginning to extend to the nether realms:

3) Moving to the Library House:

After their stay in the Guest House (during which the "Arya" was completed & the famous stone throwing incident happened), #SriAurobindo & the Mother decided to shift to "Library House" ~Sep-1922.

A new routine with the inmates was being created:

4) New Buildings acquired, New Sadhaks join:

With the no. of inmates increasing, new buildings were inspected & rented around Library House (Rosary House, Meditation House, Secretariat).

"Heaven's call is rare, rarer the heart that heeds." - A few hearts did heed to Their call:

5) Siddhi Day, Ashram Established, Overmental creation:

The descent of Krishna Consc. on 24 Nov. 1926 led to an almost total withdrawal of #SriAurobindo, & Mother took charge of the new 'Ashram' community..

What followed was perhaps the greatest feat of renunciation in history:

6) Moving to Meditation House:

With the Sadhana moving from vital to physical, #SriAurobindo & Mother moved Their residence to Meditation House on Feb 8, 1927; & Darshan Days began from Feb 21.

Despite some resistance, Mother's organizational genius was becoming visible to all:

7) Letters & Actions, Construction of Golconde (1938):

A great deal of correspondence started after #SriAurobindo's seclusion; along with Savitri's revision. Mother also used collective activities to transform Ashram life.

Conditions for Supramental descent were being prepared:

8) The Accident in #SriAurobindo's room, The war:

The Hostiles were looking for a chance to stop the Supramental work, & got a minor success with an injury to #SriAurobindo's leg on 24 Nov. 1938, a few hours before the Darshan..

World situation was simultaneously getting worse:

9) Turning the tide of WW2, Cripps Proposal, Opening of Ashram School:

The modern Kurukshetra needed full attention of #SriAurobindo & Mother, & Their intervention at crucial moments saved humanity's future..

Now with children in the Ashram, a new harmony had to be established:

10) Independence Celebration & Message, Descent of Ananda:

WW2 was won by evolutionary forces, & world conditions led to India's freedom on #SriAurobindo's 75th birth anniversary (with the shadow of Partition & Anti Ashram attacks)

Another key event happened just a year before:

11) #SriAurobindo's Mysterious Withdrawal; Samadhi Construction:

The world wasn't yet ready, & in an act of supreme sacrifice #SriAurobindo left His material body on Dec. 5, 1950 to hasten the arrival of New World.

What the God's labour had accomplished passed on to His Shakti:
