Well, that thing has been in my trunk for a week. Should I get it out of what?

It's a CT5807. Nothing special.
Well, it's a P3 with 128mb ram and 4 PCI slots. I don't really have any use for it. Anyone here from Long Island who wants and old machine? With a right sound card with legacy drivers this could be a great retro gaming machine.

This is a lot funnier in context, and I urge all of you to watch the film, which itself is a collection of 3 shorts.
College student protagonist named Shurik finds a girl named Lida who had notes for an upcoming exam. Being so engaged by studying Lida doesn't realize that Shurik is not her girl friend who was left behind sleeping on a bus. The gag is that there's no sexual tension between them.
Which changes the next day as Shurik and Lida actually encounter each other after the exam and unknowingly retrace their steps frog the day before. It's delightful, and very 1960 USSR.

Idk if I said anything about horror in VR before, so here goes:
- Are there any horror VR games out there that are legitimately good?
- HORROR IN VR IS TOO FUCKING HORRIFYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean I love horror, I love being creeped out, and I have pretty high tolerance for all that stuff, but holy shit when you're in VR and something makes a scary noise right next to your ear it's just like SHIIIIIIIIIIIT. Instant 100% immersion.
Gone is the greatest element of horror - the fact that you're experiencing it from your own comfort zone. When you watch a movie, read a book, whatever, the worst that can happen is you won't go into a dark kitchen. If you're like 10 or whatever.

Regarding "Imagine if Duke 3D got censored in 1996..."' and all that jazz. It did. There was a special version made to be sold in Wal-Mart (biggest retail @ the 🕙) with permanently enabled parental lock (remeber that? Duke 3D actually had a parental lock feature to begin with!).
Shadow Warrior got censored in the UK, they also changed shurikens into freaking *darts*. NAM had to have it's entire title changed to Napalm to be sold in Wal-Mart (???). The 90s weren't some kind of a gaming utopia.

Ok in light of this poppin' off, I'd love to deep dive a bit and have a more nuanced discussion about *gestures vaguely* this whole thing.

I'd like to make the argument that Big Tiddy Mage and rocks are, from a concept art perspective, the same thing. Thread!
As a disclaimer this is all my opinion based on being a professional Concept Artist / AD for 8 years now. I have biases based on my experiences and you may wholeheartedly disagree with, and that’s ok! There are many paths and many ways to walk them. I just hope this is helpful :)
An important differentiation to establish is that as a concept artist, you are primarily a communicator. Your work is a means to an end, to help communicate an idea and its execution to another person on your team. Generally, someone else will make the thing the audience sees.

The problem we are facing is that there are no easy Brexit solutions left if the deal fails in Parliament

An often cited so-called Plan B, Norway Plus, is not the simple off-the-shelf option it is often presented as

Now a deal is on table I'm not convinced it works

2/ Its main parliamentary proponents suggest we would sign up to the current withdrawal agreement including backstop

[Note this is evolution from previous option of seeking to replace backstop with EEA]

They would seek to amend Political Declaration to set path to Norway Plus
3/ Those proponents want UK to be in (or stay in) EEA agreement AND to seek to accede to EFTA

They would need derogations/protocols to do this

At same time they want to agree a customs union with EU

Negotiating all this during the transition wouldn't be straightforward
