NEW: Ukraine embassy was asking about security assistance on July 25, Pentagon official Laura Cooper says.

Says two emails on subject sent to her staff that day. Blow to GOP argument that Ukraine didn't know about hold.
This was not in Cooper's prepared opening statement as distributed.
Cooper, who stresses she's being careful with wording, says Ukraine embassy's July 25 approaches were basically "what is going on with" the military assistance.

Now Cooper has testified Ukraine embassy was asking ‘what is going on’ with the aid on ... July 25.

Harris had 20,000 people at her campaign launch and high hopes. But got pincered between clearer Left / Centrist positions, flip-floped on healthcare and was bugged by electability qus.
High point for Harris campaign was her direct challenging of Biden over race in 1st debate, endlessly repeated and triggering a poll surge which briefly had her joint 2nd nationwide. But has since slid to low single digits.

2/ Here's Pentagon official Laura Cooper revealing the source of some "concerns" inside the Pentagon about the hold on military aid to Ukraine: "when various folks in the [Pentagon] started to get phone calls from industry" -- the military industry that wanted to sell weapons.
3/ Cooper personally got a call from the Chamber of Commerce (see above). Just as Russiagate enlisted liberals in the imperatives of failed Democratic elites, ratings-chasing media outlets, and Cold War hawks, Ukrainegate is offering a redo.

In May 2018 Laura Ingraham called for her resignation after former Rep Sessions (R-TX) sent a “private” letter to Pompeo asking for Yovanovitch's removal b/c she "spoke privately and repeatedly about her disdain for the current administration.” 2/
These accusations were repeated and then amplified by Don Jr., FoxNews, Joe diGenova, alt-right figures like Jack Pobosiec, and The Hill’s John Solomon. 3/
