- Aid was held back to get investigations
- US national security undermined

- Trump wanted to boost re-election chances
- He urged people to work with Rudy Giuliani
- Amounted to urging foreign election interference
- Ukraine meddling he wanted probed was 'baseless'
- Trump then obstructed investigation into scandal
(Of course lots of this contested by Trump himself and Republican allies, who have produced their own report).

In one of those strange symmetries, the day Boris’s fate is decided is when Trump’s impeachment will be formally backed by the House Judiciary Committee.
They also met for one of the first times as world leaders in New York on the same day the impeachment inquiry was launched and the Supreme Court ruled prorogation was unlawful.
All happening here, the Longworth House Office Building, on a sub-zero day in the capital.

Yes, Who writes like that? But the real question is, Who talks like that? The answer's NOBODY. That's just not how most English speakers say they DON'T want something. We don't say "I want NO x." We say "I DON'T want x." Trump's "I want no quid pro quo" is propaganda & a lie.
More precisely, I-want-no-quid-pro-quo is a CYA lie, now #impeachment propaganda. Trump said it to Sondland AFTER Congress found out about a whistle-blower. Trump had been pressuring Ukraine for QPQ for months. Zelensky even booked the TV announcement! The jig was up thx to WB.
Trump said the awkwardly phrased "I want no quid pro quo" b/c he was caught & was telling Sondland how to frame the denial. Everyone knew what was happening. And they covered it up, hoping it would somehow be ok. Insanity, thinking Trump wouldn't destroy this like everything else
