An interesting note, family legends of djinn ancestry describes the ancestor as still living and deeply protective—watching over their human descendants, gifting them with unnatural luck, and occasionally meddling.
Djinn are suppose to be especially protective of their children, avenging even the slightest insult. This relationship is at times described as overbearing and disruptive
For ex you’ll hear gossip like so-and-so can’t get married because their djinn guardian is disapproving

In return these family lines and tribes are credited with preternatural good fortune in other matters, special skills, and charisma

So a meddling ancestor but cool gifts 🤷🏽‍♂️
