In which case is there any Sanskrit literature at all that is "secular"?

Bhasa? Magha? They all dealt with the itihAsas

Or should we take the stance -

In SVDV (BHU) these kAvyas should be taught by Hindus
Not necessarily in other universities?
That raises the question -

How much longer will it take for this bogey to be raised at other universities?

And will the H-Right voices take up the cudgels on behalf of a University of Bombay student, who may protest the appointment of a Christian to teach Sanskrit / theology
If the argument is going to rest on the point of "shraddha", students elsewhere can protest too.

And what's problematic here is that the "shraddha" of Hindu professors will never be questioned

It takes a lot more egregious stuff for people to question them than a non Hindu
That's when it becomes less about shraddha...

More about who you are...
