1. This story is basically pre-written garbage that shouldn't have passed a competent editor, but there's merit in one part of it. Democratic voters largely do not see corporate power as part of politics. They see it as a problem, but not a political problem.
2. Breaking up big tech is really popular in general. It's also part of a broader frame of who governs, big banks, big pharma, etc. But does that mean Democrats vote based on corporate power? No. vox.com/policy-and-pol…
3. Barack Obama was highly deferential to corporate power and he will probably become the first billionaire ex-President. Democrats love him because they don't think that's a problem. They basically want their leaders to do good things, but not to fight bad things.
4. You can tell @teddyschleifer's story is stupid based on the way Vox is promoting it. Warren has in no way 'staked' her campaign on breaking up big tech. It's one small part of an anti-corruption message. It's just garbage promotion of a story.
@teddyschleifer 5. I generally don't like getting into these kinds of irritating arguments, but I think it's important to note that evidence-free assertions that an issue is a loser that just so happen to boost the fortunes of the wealthiest people ever to exist are... problematic.
@teddyschleifer 6. At any rate, there's a reasonable chance the attack on concentrated economic power will come from the right, because Republicans seem to actually take problems in commerce seriously. That's not isolated to big tech, it's true across the board, including in health care.
@teddyschleifer 7. Warren started falling in the polls when she rolled out her health care pay-for, not months ago when she talked about breaking up big tech. Buttigieg is not rising because he's praising big tech, he's rising because he's preaching unity over conflict. It's pure style.
@teddyschleifer 8. And then there's this sentence. "Sometimes the applause from Warren’s monopoly riff is so ravenous that you can’t even hear her say “Big Tech.”

How does this prove the thesis of the story? Ah, forget it. Whatever.
