Yo @SF311 it seems like some people didn’t listen to me and now there are very big floods at both 18-19th and Harrison and 23rd and Folsom. Also people frantically raking drains at 18th and Folsom.
It’s not too late to be a hero and rake out a drain tonight or certainly in next few days. It’s going to rain for a week after none for months, the streets are full of leaves and trash.
Honestly if you live/work in Folsom between 16th and 19th and aren’t insanely vigilant about raking storm drains idk. That’s the confluence of Mission Creek, now driven underground, it likes to take vengeance.
They were supposed to put a storm drain overflow reservoir under the playground they built at 17th/Flosom to alieviate chronic flooding but heard it got cut? @burritojustice
If you/your neighbors have power over any outdoor space near sidewalks please consider putting in a rain garden. Cuts runoff, also helps sequester carbon and aid pollinators @SFUrbanForester has info.
