President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday asked the Senate to approve an external loan of $29.96 billion to execute key Infrastructural projects across the country. Some of the projects include;

1. The East West
Road.

2. Mambilla Hydro Power Station.

3. Dualization Of Suleja-Minna Road.

4. Standard guage Ibadan-Kano Rail line.

5. Calabar-PH-Aba-Makurdi-Bauchi-Maiduguri Rail Line.

6. Dualization Of Ibadan-Ilorin-Jebba Road.

7. 2,500 KM Power Transmission Lines & Power Transformers
across Nigeria.

8. Funding & Upgrades Of 18 Federal Universities.

9. Total Overhauling Of Ajaokuta Steel Company.

10. Dualization Of Lokoja-Okene-Auchi-Benin Road.

My take: I will expect SP @DrAhmadLawan led Senate to approve the Loan request.

Omoyele Sowore has been charged with 7 counts of treasonable felony and money laundering a day before his 45 day detention order lapsed.

He was charged alongside Olawale Bakare (also known as Mandate).

The charges include:

1) Conspiracy to commit treasonable felony in breach
of section 516 of the Criminal Code Act by allegedly staging “a revolution campaign on September 5, 2019 aimed at removing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during his term of office other than by constitutional means”.
2) Cybercrime offences in violation of section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention) Act, by “knowingly” sending “messages by means of press interviews granted on Arise Television network which you knew to be false for the purpose of causing insult, enmity, hatred

President Muhammadu Buhari Friday said that the Federal Government would soon commence the construction of the 600-kilometre Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline which would move gas from the Southern part of the country to the North.
The Nigerian leader, who disclosed this while addressing the 5th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit at the Sipopo Int’l Conference Hall, Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, added that the viability of extending the gas pipeline to North Africa was also under consideration.
Describing the theme of the Summit, Natural Gas – Energy for Sustainable Development as most appropriate, President Buhari noted that the one-day meeting was “taking place at a critical juncture as global energy supply is transitioning from hydrocarbons to renewables.”

President Muhammadu Buhari met with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. The latter said it was always inspiring for him, each time he sat near the Nigerian President.
Purpose of the meeting? Portugal would be hosting Europe-Africa Forum in Lisbon next year,
and d Nigerian leader was being invited to declare d event open.
“Please come, we’ll like to see you” de Sousa said. “We’ve bn waiting for you for 3years.Please come, even if it’s for just half a day. Many African leaders hv visited us, but we want Nigeria. Please come to Lisbon.
The President said our own President was looking quite well:
“You are so fit! Your opponents say you are ill. I guess that is just to disturb you.” General laughter.
President Buhari said he would consider the invitation, apologizing that he hadn’t visited all the while.
