There are many complex and important reasons Lamar Jackson was passed on by every other team in the draft.
You see, he is an "athletic" QB, while teams are looking for someone with a "high football IQ" who could be a "reliable system player."

My absolute favorite is "deceptively fast" about pink-skinned receivers.
Speaking of football's incredibly weird racial segregation... where are black kickers? Don't you tell me black folks don't enjoy kicking shit. I have taught in inner city schools, and it's plainly not the case.

You might think that Trump, being all like "Putin is great, Russia is great, let's do great shit with Russia and Putin", is pretty popular and well-loved in Russia. You might think Russians are of a very high opinion of him and respect him greatly.
Would make sense, no?
Well, funny thing, that. Russians certainly do appear to LIKE the fact that Trump is president. But that is all schadenfreude, my dudes. They like the fact that America has someone in charge who makes Putin look competent, wise, restrained, sane, serious and benevolent.

1/ I feel SO aligned with how @Ocasio2018 operates. Why is her voice so resonant? I'd say it boils down to two unique qualities: Systems thinking & honesty. Despite being rare in politics, these qualities can be cultivated by anyone who wants to be more like AOC.
2/ We all wish the world were simple. Most people seek simplicity by just going into denial and ignoring all the complexity. Trying to solve problems in this way fails, because the world is actually a complex set of interconnected systems.
3/ For example, the oversimplified understanding of how to address racial injustice might focus on one or two issues, such as voting rights, criminal justice reform, etc. It's easy to achieve one simple victory and celebrate progress.
