Start of thread: About a month ago, a colleague that self-identified as a "privileged, white male" approached me. He wanted to know what he could to to help support our diversity and inclusion effort.
As someone who hasn't been really involved, other that being female, I was caught off-guard. I admired his desire to be on the right side of things and his humility in admitting he didn't know how. And I was a bit embarrassed that I didn't have an answer.
I promised to do some thinking and get back to him. Here's what I've got so far. It's broad advice that I figured others may find useful. Take this as 3 pieces of advice from one woman. I'm not flogging a dissertation here :)

It's kind of hilarious that he construes the fact that ALL the generations AFTER the Boomers kinda hate the Boomers as a fault in, uh, all the other generations.
Like, I'm thinking it's "asshole rules" where if you meet one asshole, you met an asshole, but if it's nothing but assholes all day long, maybe YOU are the asshole.
Woke up thinking about this article so I'm going to say a couple more things about Boomers and generations in general.

When I say "Q classified videos are on the" - it wouldn't be phrased that way, the whole statement would be in symbolism comms (not just the moon)

also I would like to address the whole cancel culture thing:

as I said in my videos a while back, "callout culture" (and therefore "cancel culture") are misleading terms. it's not culture, and I think this framing device does a disservice to the argument
callouts and cancelling are things, and things can be genuine but they can also be created or appropriated for exchange
so when we talk about it as culture, I think we are accepting framework that is fairly poisonous and works to normalize the idea of culture based entirely around exchange of social commodities and social currency

which is not the thing I think people want to do for the most part
