We're going to learn how to make something like this today. I hope you'll give it a try. The resistance needs your effort. It's fun & pretty easy. When you think of the sacrifices our founding fathers made for us, 15 minutes to learn this is the least you can do. Lol #mememaking

This app, Spark Post by Adobe is free, though they want you to upgrade to premium, and keep asking. But I haven't & don't see a need to. The app is free, this tutorial is free. Don't thank me, send memes with lines 4 Thanksgiving, prosecuting the CASE AGAINST Trump. #mememaking

Open the app. Along the top is a menu you can slide to see various templates. Slide this to the travel menu option. Different templates have different options & capabilities. Choose what I choose to make it easier to follow along and to have the same feature options. #mememaking

I am not an expert or graphic designer. I'm a resistance mom. I learned through experimentation. That's the best way to learn. Have fun, be clever & choose bold & legible fonts with stark color contrasts for the the visually impaired. Now open this template. #mememaking

I never have a need for the premium features. Now in this template we have a lot of graphics, but today we are going to learn about text. 1 great feature for this template is that we can save the image/text with a transparent background and use the text in other graphics apps.

This app is one of the best for text, but not necessarily for other graphics. We will delete the graphics by touching the image to select it & bring up the image menu. Fyi you can change the color of this icon or the angle/size/position by dragging it or manipulating the corners.

I selected color on the menu to change the color, but we will delete it, so click edit on the menu & then delete. Do this again for all the images including the stars(there's 3-delete all). Btw, there's no undo for this app, which is a major pain. #mememaking #impeach

Pressing "Done" gets u back to the main menu. We're going to resize the canvas to fit a tweet by scrolling to the Twitter selection. Click done. Btw: This work is important & effective. Practice & help fight to save our democracy.

Select the text by touching it. Then click edit. Delete Michelle & type your message. If I have a typo & I always do, I can always edit again the same way. I also go back & edit by inserting an enter where I want a line break.
This message is pretty lackluster. Try to be funny.

I just thought it was interesting & funny that Nunes & Guiliani are responsible for the impeachment. I'll have to make my actual tweet about it funny or ironic. As you see, this is difficult to read. Change the align to magic. I 💙 this feature! You can change the spacing, too.

You can change the color as well, & even customize it. You can also add outlines & have 2 colors. You can use the xed arrows to swap colors & even customize color by clicking on the top color w the dial thing. Change each of the colors by manipulating the dots-use custom or hex.

But we really need to change the font. Select font & experiment. I love that you can add other fonts by clicking the plus under Adobe fonts. Select your favorite.

Now I want to show you the shape feature. This is cool. You can put the text box in a circle, rectangle, diamond or even have the text come out as an image by putting an image behind it. Btw, I'll unroll this at the end which is far easier to follow. So scroll down 4 that.

I gotta address the other textbox because it is just getting in the way. You can just edit it and write your Twitter handle & then make it small & move it to the corner. I just clicked on it and then clicked edit. Write your handle so people feel free to save & share it.

I deleted it on my canvas but will add my Twitter handle later. I often forget, but it's a good thing to do so people feel okay about sharing it & not worrying about feeling like they're stealing. Also, more people will follow you when they see your cleverness. #mememaking

Back to putting an image behind your text. Here you see 2 examples. The 1st I saved w a transparent background so Ican add it to other memes & the 2nd I saved normally. Select the dotted abc. Btw. I saw the opacity isn't set to 100% so I clicked done & fixed the opacity.

I clicked done again & then selected add & then photo on the main menu. Now you can do a search through their picture database or you can select your own photo from your gallery using the selection at the bottom of the screen. I just choose the 1st sunset. #mememaking

Now as you can see it makes the text far less legible so I clicked on the canvas(not the text), then edit, then delete and then removed the picture. Now I'm gonna go about making the text Box the right size. I will also edit text lines by editing the text & adding enters.

Because I have the alignment set to magic it changes the size of certain lines making lines that shorter have bigger text.

By the way if you want to save this you can save it in a couple of different ways right now and then after we go through the animation will be able to save it 3 different ways. If you click done then you will have the little option at the very top with the download arrow.

You will also see the share icon in the top right corner. You can use this to share directly to Twitter. If you click on the download arrow you get2 options. The 1st one allows you to save as transparent and the other 1 allows you to save the entire image.

Once you save you can still edit. I often save things in a couple of different colors. Now hear something cool. You can also add animation. This is a really fun to play around with. #mememaking
