🔥 A thread summary from the perspective and experiences of @antdke 🔥
Three weeks after Anthony launched on Product Hunt and went to #1, his growth started to slow down.
He realized can only control a couple of metrics, namely:
👉 the quality of content
👉 how active he is in his audience's communities (Twitter)
Quick feedback on what he learned:
👎 Medium - terrible organic reach
👍 LinkedIn - strong organic reach
👍 HackerNews - good organic reach
😐 Reddit - terrible to good organic reach
👀 Going forward, focus on Twitter and Indie Hackers.
Anthony came to learn that if he can communicate something visually either through numbers or emojis or images, then he'll do that. 😇
Learn to just accept that you may get zero compliments and deeply appreciate when someone actually opens up to compliment you.
This one is like a “Duh, obviously” one. But it’s still important. You’re writing for an audience meaning you’re crafting a product in the form of content. You gotta know what the people want.
Respect their attention.
Anthony is having a blast and he'll continue to have fun. 🎈🥳🎉
