But Jared Taylor also celebrated President Trump's inauguration from the comfort of his VIP seats in the front row.

Many people in the generation that said, in 1969, "don't trust anyone over 30" seems oddly invested, in 2019, in the idea that people under 30 shouldn't be trusted.
I'm not trying to attack Boomers. I have many Boomers who are beloved friends and relatives. I'm just saying, try having a little historical self-awareness now and then, especially if you're a person with power and a platform.
"My generation had it right and this new generation is messed up" is what every single generation has said about the generation that follows them for centuries. It's a stupid script and we can choose not to follow it.

Today I learned that Bette Midler has never taken a minute to rest and check her phone while touring a museum. Either that, or she thinks a picture taken in one moment of time captures everything we need to know about the people whose image is being taken.
And also, apparently people of Bette Midler's generation, when they were young people, never once were bored or complained when their parents took them to an art museum. They always said "thank you so much for this culturally enriching experience! I can't get enough of it!"
Boomers do this sort of sh*t that drove them crazy when their parents did it to them...and then they wonder where that whole "ok boomer" meme came from.

Sounds like this dude needs to be subpoenaed.
Because the correct answer to that question was just a "no." Because he could not just unblinkingly say "no," there's clearly more to the story.
Mark Esper works for the American people, not the President. It was our taxpayer money that was being withheld. We have every right to know how it was being used.

Civil War historian here. Shelby Foote was an excellent writer, but he embraced a good deal of Lost Cause mythology, which is clearly reflected in his love of Nathan Bedford Forrest and his failure to fully understand the importance of slavery to the Confederate cause.
Where Foote really goes off the rails is his complete ignorance re: the history of Confederate iconography. He seems to have no grasp of how the Confederate flag has been used from the war itself to the present as a symbol of white supremacy.
@johnblakecnn I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with Civil War historiography before suggesting that Shelfy Foote ought to be considered a serious Civil War historian. His writings reflect the romance of the Lost Cause as opposed to recent Civil War scholarship.
