“AMCON Takes Over Olajide Omokore’s Cedar Oil & Gas Ltd Over ₦29billion Debt

Justice C.J Aneke of Federal High Court Lagos Division has granted an injunction against Cedar Oil & Gas E&P Ltd, [mandating] AMCON to take over assets of the firm over an indebtedness of ₦29billion.”
“In compliance with the court order, AMCON has formally & successfully taken possession of all assets of Cedar Oil & Gas E&P Ltd promoted by Mr Olajide Omokore & others... through Mr. Godwin Nwekoyo, the Receiver/Manager who also received protective orders from the court.”
“The assets, which are now under AMCON include: Block A, No. 46 Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, comprising of 26 flats; Plot 1236, River Niger Street, Maitama, FCT, Abuja; as well as Marion Apartment, Block 8, No. 4 & 5, Onikoyi Estate, Banana Island, consisting of 43 units of apartments.”
“AMCON is also in possession of No. 33A, Cooper Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State; No. 8, Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State as well as Manson Apartments, No. 6, Gerrard Road, Lagos State comprising of 60 units of three-bedroom apartments.”

For those asking about the Trial Schedule for #LagosIbadan Rail, this is from the NRC MD:

“We will continue to do a return trip every day, where the train leaves Ibadan by 9.00 a.m. and leaves Lagos by 4.00 p.m. But after 21st December, we will be running two return trips.”
He explains the purpose of the Trial Rides: We are “stressing the track so that if there are errors in the formation or any other thing, it will come out before the full commencement of commercial operations in April.” #LagosIbadanRail

Minister of Transportation @ChibuikeAmaechi got the Chinese contractors building Nigeria’s Standard Gauge Rail to commit to delivering 2 extra projects:

1. A Wagon Assembly plant in Ogun State (next to new Railway Yard / Station)

2. A Transportation University in Katsina
Earlier this month Vice President @ProfOsinbajo flagged off the construction of the Wagon Assembly Plant.

In the next few days President @MBuhari will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Transportation University.

Cybercrime: MAPOLY Student Jailed, Two Others Arraigned in Ibadan

A Higher National Diploma (HND) Mechanical Engineering student of Mashood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Ogun State, Olalekan Oladapo Ogunremi, was on Wednesday found guilty of criminal impersonation.
He was then sentenced to six months in prison. The 21-year-old actually found favour before Justice Patricia Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Ibadan Division, who commuted the one year punishment proposed for his offence to six months.
The judge succumb to his lawyer’s passionate plea who informed the court that his client had missed two examination sessions owing to the criminal charge filed against him by the Ibadan zonal office of EFCC.
