For those asking about the Trial Schedule for #LagosIbadan Rail, this is from the NRC MD:

“We will continue to do a return trip every day, where the train leaves Ibadan by 9.00 a.m. and leaves Lagos by 4.00 p.m. But after 21st December, we will be running two return trips.”
He explains the purpose of the Trial Rides: We are “stressing the track so that if there are errors in the formation or any other thing, it will come out before the full commencement of commercial operations in April.” #LagosIbadanRail
“We have about 350 wagons, both for containers and other goods that are coming in on that route. Also we are going to have about 36 coaches for passengers. We intend to run about six return trips between Ibadan & Lagos when we start [full operations].” — MD, NRC #LagosIbadanRail
“We‘re planning to continue construction from Ibadan—Kano; contract has been signed & arrangements in place to commence construction. Target date of completion is 3 years from commencement of construction.” — NRC MD.

MD NRC says e-ticketing service on #AbujaKadunaRail route expected to start before end of 2019.

Procurement process has been on for a while. See attached tweet from September 2019:
Meanwhile NRC says Nigerians have already started vandalizing the brand new #LagosIbadanRail tracks.

According to the MD, “You can’t imagine that between Lagos and Ibadan, we have replaced over 5,000 clips and close to 10,000 bolts-and-nuts on the track...”
