Pardon the gallows humor, but the first thought that popped into my head when hearing this news was “This is bad. This Israeli bad.”
This would be a good time to remember that many white nationalists in the US, despite being antisemites, hold Israel up as a model. It's complicated, but basically their argument is "Jews get a nation, so why can't white Americans have one too?" haaretz.com/israel-news/is…

For these evangelicals, informed by the Left Behind books and others, Israel plays a key role in their vision of the end times to which they are looking forward. Because that's when they get raptured up, and the Jews either convert or die. Thanks for your support? 
White nationalists and white evangelicals make up a not insignificant portion of Trump's base. In fact, I'd guess that a majority of his most rabid supporters fall into one or both of these categories.
This is why "many people are saying" that MAGA political culture has a powerful thread of antisemitism running through it. Rising antisemitism frequently accompanies the rise of right wing authoritarianism, otherwise known as fascism.
