Will Justice Roberts cower to RussiaPublicans in a Soviet style kangaroo Senate trial?

I doubt Moscow Mitch has 51 political suicide votes to change the current Senate impeachment rules of the House calling witnesses.

There is ALOT of arguing about the legal #Impeachment process, so I thought I would lay the steps out for you.

Regarding the #ImpeachTrump campaign,
I am not the right person to answer if the laws are being followed by The House against the impeachment of @POTUS

The Constitution lays out two specific actions, treason and bribery, that could lead to impeachment and removal of a president from office.

Then there is a broader category to accuse a president of a crime, although that category is more vague.

1. House Dems can #ImpeachTrumpNow with their majority. No more evidence is required.

2. Senate Republicans will almost certainly vote to acquit.

3. Trump will be impeached for history but not removed.

4. Dems can then focus on sweeping in 2020.

The only remote possibility of Trump leaving office early is if #McConnell and other GOP leaders think he's too much of a liability to their rightwing power grab and push him to resign.

But like I said, "remote."

Arguments for waiting to schedule a vote are:

1. Gather more facts.
2. Exert more pressure.
3. Get more evidence against his accomplices.

None of those outweigh the fact that he harms people every day and #impeachment is an urgent moral imperative.

It's time I had my say about #Impeachment, DJT's obstructionistic tactics, and @SpeakerPelosi's not pushing for an inquiry yet.

When AG Barr released the redacted version of the report to Congress, he did *not* include any of the underlying documents on which Mueller relied.

Just like a lawsuit, a case has to be built based on facts and evidence. Both the Intelligence Committee and the Judiciary Committee have been working their way through the system, including voting to hold AG Barr in Contempt of Congress. DJT has been fighting them in court.

Meanwhile, the Ways and Means Committee has also been working on getting DJT's tax returns. One of the Committees has also been working on getting records subpoenaed from DJT's financial management firm and from Deutche Bank, known for Russian money laundering.
