Lotta polls out this weekend on impeachment, most of which show support for removal remarkably high. But the big story is the extreme stability of the numbers since late Sept. Wobbles here and there. But remarkable stability, with just a tad more wanting removal than not.

3/ and here's impeachment and removal. Unfortunately, they don't distinguish between polls for "impeachment" and those for "impeachment and removal", though in practice that likely means the same thing. If you think he should be impeached you probably think he should be convicted
4/ In any case, as you can see, the fixity of opinion is the most telling takeaway, with some slight consolidation of opposition to impeachment but not really diminishment of support for it.
5/ Another interesting data point is the congressional generic ballot, who people plan to vote for for Congress. Basically stable but a slight move in the direction of Democrats. Don't think that means much but certainly doesn't support any idea of an impeachment backlash.
