Seems quite reasonable to note this was a strong and coherently left campaign and it had a disastrous result. But this seems mainly abt a) Brexit and not taking a clear position on the great question of the day and b) Corbyn being personally toxic to a big chunk of population.
2/ Secondary point, I wouldn’t listen to American interpretations of this election. But Americans are at least as qualified as anyone else to interpret its meaning if any in an American context.
3/ I think one final point I’d make - and I dont think many people on the left really believe this. But some believe that countries like the US or UK have big Kate’s this left majorities if someone wld just run on those issues. This result doesn’t do much for that theory.
4/ Again don’t think many people actually believe that, and for good reason. But for those who do, etc.
