This is terrible advice, particularly the last sentence.

Why would we want to imitate people we don't admire?

Why would we want to become more like people who are evil?

This week lots of people are celebrating the birthday of a devout Jewish man who taught the opposite.

The solution is what Georgetown Law Professor David Pozen calls anti-hardball tactics.

I can do another explainer. Here is his article:

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people saying the same thing.

I was enjoying a book until I got to a section on why Democrats should imitate Republicans.

I put down the book, but lots of people are reading it.

It's everywhere.

The way to permanently break politics is for both sides to behave like Republicans.

Voters will turn away in disgust. They'll say "They're all alike" and autocracy will take hold.

It amazes me that everyone doesn't see this is how to destroy democracy.
Disagree.

I didn't see the Democrats use knives OR guns once in the impeachment inquiry, and I watched it all.

The Democrats brought principles and truth to a fight in while the Republicans fought with lies, propaganda and anti-democratic tactics.
