Merry Christmas!

Today, my family and billions of others celebrate the birth of a poor refugee who taught for three years, died disgracefully, and changed the world forever.

If you’re confused by Jesus, as I was for a considerable time, I’d encourage you to study him.

Through the ages, people from all walks of life and from all nationalities, geographies, and ethnicities have wondered at Jesus — who he was, what he claimed, how he lived, how he died, and how he changed the world.

The Durants, widely regarded as the 20th century's best historians, studied Jesus and concluded:

Especially if you disbelieve Jesus’s divinity, wouldn’t you like to know how he did it?

That’s nice and all, but couldn't the story have changed?

But who’s Christianity for? If Jesus is to be believed as the God of the universe taken on human form, it’s no surprise that he called everyone.

Jesus said and did radical things. He turned power structures upside down. He loved and dined with and befriended the broken and the downtrodden and the marginalized and the rich. He claimed to be God.

So, you have to do something with Jesus.
