Today is a celebration of the best news, ever.

Something transformed Jesus's family and friends from distraught, scared skeptics unwilling to stand with him into believers willing to lay down their lives, often in horrific fashion, professing his divinity.

Jesus is alive.
He is risen! Death is defeated and I’ve been given a new life. My bill is paid in full. I’m free to love recklessly, knowing I’m loved and my future is secured by the Creator of all.

Now I can follow Jesus, learn from him, trust him, and rely upon him. It’s the best news ever.
If I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday, how could I trust what happened to a poor tradesman more than 2000 years ago? Why would it matter?

That’s how I used to justify ignoring Jesus and making fun of Christians for believing in a “sky fairy.”

Napoleon Bonaparte:
What drew me in to start studying Jesus was the impact of Jesus and the claims of Jesus.

In the history of the world, many people have claimed to be God and many people changed the world, but there is only one who did both — Jesus.

As C.S. Lewis said, Jesus is either mad, bad, or God, but he can’t just be a good teacher. You must to do something with him.
So today on Easter, we disciples of Jesus celebrate our risen savior.

And if you’re skeptical, or even positive it’s all a crock, study Jesus and figure out what to do with him.

Start with the Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

It truly is the best news, ever.
