Absolutely--huge shoutout to #JanetBrowne, whose work informed "Through Darwin's Eyes" sections of Consider the Platypus.

A lot of folks ask if Darwin is still relevant to this conversation... Short answer: 100%. He's the reason for the season. (More on this later in the week.)
So enough about ME. Let's talk about #Darwin.
We're learning more about evolution every day, with every fossil we find, every genome we sequence. A lot of new knowledge prompts people to ask whether Darwin was "wrong." @KingOfUniverse8 asked me this yesterday:

Yes! But! not about everything AND that's okay!
This is like asking if #science got stuff wrong. YES. Being wrong is a part of science. It's built into the scientific method, & is why peer review is part of the scientific process. #evolution
@KingOfUniverse8 A reframe: Darwin gave us a starting point. He knew he didn't have all the information he needed to completely understand #evolution (hint: neither do we, 160yrs later). No one is more bothered by this than Darwin was. (Here's a passage I like from Gene by @DrSidMukherjee):
