THE worst decision of Supreme Court in 2019 was NOT taking NRC to its logical conclusion. Modus operandi of SC was to complete NRC in timebound manner

BUT after Final List,SC didn't set any time frame to issue National ID card to includes & rejection order to19L excludes

NRC excludes are living in uncertainty. Almost every1 hav docs, they want to challenge rejection order to clear thr names. But even after 5months NO reasons hav been given to them explaining their exclusion. They are forced to live with stigma where their CITIZENSHIP IS UNCERTAIN

Hon'ble Supreme Court is responsible for this uncertainty. So much hurry to publish the Final list, what happened after publication? The excluded people deserves Justice..

Justice delayed is Justice denied!

Not only that, SC transferred the State coordinator who spearheaded entire NRC exercise. I disagreed wt some of his decision, but he was very competent and largely fair. Now BJP appointed a man who believes "lakhs and lakhs of Bangladeshis in the NRC”

Justice Gogoi was in hurry for the Babri Judgement, BUT didn't bother to finish his pet project NRC, which he ordered and monitored for 5 years. HUGE disservice to the cause of Justice and 3.29 crores people.

Not finalizing NRC has far reaching impact. Now BJP & it's proxies are demanding to scrap NRC or its re-verification, as they are not happy with it. NRC was suppose to stop politicization of 'illegal migration', BUT now it is used to spew venom against one community. Thanks to SC

In order dated 17-12-2014 where SC set a timeframe to complete NRC,it justified large scale illegal migration quoting unverified data. NRC was ordered to find out d number of "illegal migrants".The final List excluded 19L, NO they are not illegal migrants theprint.in/opinion/childr…

Even the 19 lakhs exclusion badly boomeranged on justification of illegal migration in Assam.

Is this the reason why there was NO effort to issue National Identity cards to included people and rejection order to excluded?

CAA will protect Bengali Hindus. Only excluded Muslims will have to approach Foreigners Tribunal. If FT decide cases in judicious manner, hardly anyone will be declared a foreigner.

The entire state was made to suffer for 5 years,BUT even after 5 months of publication of Final list No ID card, NO rejection order have been issued

Rather NRC hav become reason for a venomous campaign. Back to square one
