I’ve been seeing a lot of “both side are so extreme and intolerant” happening lately re: the gender debate.

Friendly reminder that the “extremism” gender criticals are being called out on is our position that women exist distinctly from men.

Beware false equivalences.

Mr. Gervais called us extreme for criticizing his statement that men who identify as women are women.

That’s not extreme. That’s elementary. The alternative, surrendering the very concept of “woman” to men - that is extreme.

I’m a believer in compromise and in imperfect solutions, if those solutions address bigger problems. But compromising on the definition of “woman” solves nothing. It ignores the damage genderism does to women’s rights. It makes collateral damage of us.

The only problem solved by compromising on the definition of “woman” is the problem of what people will think and say about you if you don’t. The only thing to be gained is your own personal comfort. And that’s not nothing - but don’t pretend it’s an issue-based consideration.

If people want to say things they know aren’t true for the sake of their own interests, that’s a choice they’re free to make. But this spin I’ve been seeing - this message that it’s extreme and intolerant not to define “women” to include some men... That’s just cowardly & cheap.

Some people aren’t able or willing to be a clear voice for women. That’s their choice, their limitation. Accept it, maybe even forgive it. But don’t for a second let them fool you into thinking you’re extreme because you think “woman” should have a stable, meaningful definition.

And, please. If you’ve decided, upon counting the cost, to sit out this fight, the go take a seat. Don’t manipulate and berate thousands of women and men simply because they committed the crime of being braver than you.

“Trans women are women” is an extreme position.

“A woman is anyone who feels like a woman” is an extreme position.

“Naming someone’s sex is hateful” is an extreme position.

Reject the condescension of cowards.

Remember what you know.

The idea that “trans women are women” is some level-headed compromise is dangerous and untrue. There’s a REASON that line’s been drilled at us nonstop by the genderists.

TWAW is total surrender. If we give in on that, we lose the ability to draw any other line.
