Let’s stop trying to win back or rehabilitate the word “conservative.” And stop saying things like, “You call yourself a conservative and yet you support foreign interventions!”
Whatever “conservative” might have meant at certain points in history—and whatever it might mean in the idealized world in your head—for decades now, it has meant more war, Zionism, global capitalism, etc.
Let’s stop pretending like we’re the “true conservatives,” when Mike Pompeo, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro have much better claims to this word.
The same goes for the lament, “How can you, as a Christian, support war?”

Christians need to seriously examine the nature and function of Christianity as opposed to conclusively declaring that the majority of people who understand themselves as Christians aren’t in fact Christians.
