The UK has a chance to roll back neoliberalism, loosen Washington’s bonds, and send a strong message of defiance to the corporate media & permanent war state tonight. A Corbyn win would also be wind in left sails across the Atlantic. Moments like these come once in a generation.
Whatever happens, the grassroots forces that propelled Corbyn to leadership and made this moment possible deserve a massive debt of gratitude. With all the forces of militarism, financial capital and yellow journalism arrayed against them, they have pushed him to the finish line.
And that’s a wrap. Don’t know when we’ll see an authentic left challenge again from Labour. Thank you to Blairites, the whole UK mainstream media (especially the Guardian), Labour Friends of Israel, Russiagaters, the MI5 & too many malign forces to name for this Tory landslide.
