The Main Gate of #JNU has been closed. Again, no reasons given. Trying to find a way to the campus that the @DelhiPolice haven't shamefully closed down to stop anyone from reaching the university.

All access to #JNU is blocked, cops are saying it's because students are on the road. Having to go on foot.

Two ambulances were just allowed to go through to the entrance.

Insane scenes here at #JNU. Right wing goons shouting and threatening students with shouts of "Desh ke gaddaron ko goli maro saalo Jo"

Students respond with "ABVP go back", as the goons get in their face, they start singing the national anthem. Both sides sing it now.

One of the worrying things here is that the streetlights have all been switched off. Back & forth sloganeering continues at the main gate, with more and more 'locals' aka RW goons turning up.

Before we came here, police had given a pointless update saying there was a clash between two groups of students, but refused to answer any questions about how many students were injured.

Now the faculty have informed students that they're going to come to the Main (North) Gate, so all the students gathered at the West Gate are now making their way there again.

As there were several goons gathered there, could lead to a tense standoff.

The lights on the road outside the Main Gate of #JNU are now back on.

Conveniently, as the goons who attacked students inside campus appear to have left. Had seen some bikes leaving with men carrying lathis, wearing scarves over their faces when heading to West Gate.

After reaching the #JNU Main Gate, the students started chanting slogans against the police and ABVP.

JNUTA President came out to explain what had happened, why they blamed VC Mamidala.

Here's a student who was there when the violence began, explaining how it all started. Counters the narrative sought to be presented that the #JNUSU started the violence, claims it was outsiders who came in and started it.

Incredible scenes here now. Students from inside #JNU pushed the Main Gate open. Police tried to close the gates but they pushed them open again.

Final wrap from #JNU. Large group of police were present outside, they later entered the campus, but hearing that they are not causing any trouble. Asking people not from JNU to leave the campus.
