I toured a lot of schools recently and became aware from looking at signs posted on walls that some of you are being constantly raised with a message that all your masculinity is somehow toxic. That is exactly as true, and as false, as femininity being toxic. No more & no less.
What is also true is that us older men have been slow to realize that online you are being raised to hate & fear yourselves because no one wants to stand up for you to be set upon by an online army of traumatized folks who need serious love & support after being preyed upon.
Here is what I want to say: I want to do better as an uncle. The message I want to leave you boys with is that you deserve to be celebrated too. You are going to fuck up. It doesn’t mean you have to fear yourselves as monsters. Most, but not all, women want most, but not all men. 
So here is your first task: I cannot know who will respond to this thread. There will be haters a plenty. Try to see them as traumatized and think the unthinkable: maybe some of those haters need you standing up for them. Maybe they need you & are just dysfunctionally acting out.
Maybe they can’t afford to wait for perfect men. Maybe have the courage to accept that your all too real competitive, violent and sexual impulses do not make you a monster. They’re merely a challenge to control. And traumatized women can’t wait for perfect men. They ain’t coming.
Now also watch for any moms raising boys who will respond and resonate with it. Any women who want to be courted and want to raise families. There are black belt women who lead climb and have their own successful businesses who need to be asked out and swept off their feet too.
Stop fearing yourselves. Channel your masculinity towards the light whenever possible. You won’t win every battle with yourselves. But we needed to stand up for you a long time ago and let this man hating idiocy get way out of hand. That’s on us and we can do better. Good luck.👍
