Senate headed for 3rd impeachment trial in history.

Keep in mind:
1. While McConnell wields sig. power over floor/debate in the Senate, this is different.
*Standing rules make the chief justice resp. for both trial preps and the trial.*

McConnell's rules do NOT change this.
That means there will be lots of votes, and most certainly, votes to have votes on witnesses instead of letting Roberts decide.

That said, it will really be up to the six most vulnerable Republicans in the Senate to decide if Bolton and others are heard.
That said, we haven't actually seen the rules that McConnell says he has the votes for -- so TBD whether the rules mirror the '99 rules.
