Here’s what actually happened. A random user who’s only ever posted once before posted that document in the Sanders volunteer Slack group. A moderator promptly removed it and stated that it was NOT a campaign source.

Bernie is not sending his volunteers out to trash ANY candidate. We have a very strict code of conduct on how we MUST interact with voters if we want to be part of the campaign. @Politico and every other outlet reporting on this non-story are being used incredibly irresponsible.
I would happily post a screen shot of the conversation in slack but then I would be violating the agreement I made with the campaign to not share screenshots from slack. They delete ANYTHING that talks about any other candidate in a negative way.
I could, right now, go dump a document criticizing every candidate in Warrens campaign app then screen shot it, and send it to Politico so they could write a story about it. This was not a campaign maneuver. Period.
It amazes me that I am not a journalist and it took me literally just a few minutes to discover that this story was false yet @Politico literally had *two* “journalists” on this story and neither of them could take the time to vet this story.
