If you’ve caught the first episode of #Dracula, you’ll know there’s a particularly gruesome scene involving our titular anti-hero, our kick-arse Sister Agatha and a wolf carcass that really puts ~the SEX in SFX~ (minor spoilers ahead):
According to series co-creator @Markgatiss (see: Sherlock, Doctor Who), the only way the prosthetics team, Dave and Lou Elsey of @igorstudios, could create the tough but breakable and translucent plastic needed in the scene was to melt down... *checks notes* 80 flesh-lights
Apparently the specialised latex that lines the inner, uh, tube of a flesh-light is the only material flexible enough to mimic the undead, bloody placenta that the scene required.

And for those of you playing along at home, don’t worry - they were box fresh.
