Jane Sanders can certainly address this as she used a lot of imagination, creativity and family connections to finance a $10 million loan for Burlington College to secure a property it couldn't do anything with and would ultimately bankrupt it. See thread:
But no one has reported on Sanders' relationship w/Tony Pomerleau whose bridge loan of $500k made the $10 million dollar loan to the college possible in the final hour. Tony, a millionaire businessman, oversaw police when Bernie was mayor. See thread:
No one asks Jane Sanders about the hundreds of thousands of dollars she re-directed to her daughter's new and struggling for-profit woodworking business - a situation that cont for a decade that the last President said hindered the College's operations.

Certainly creating an exchange program with Cuba will become an issue in the 2020 campaign and make it more difficult for Bernie Sanders to win the state of FL. To date, no reporter has asked to see the CCTV footage Jane Sanders shared with the community:
Nepotism has always been an issue with the Sanders. Bernie created a job for Jane paid for by the Burlington taxpayers in the 1980s when he was mayor - a job he allowed no one else to apply for. See thread (Sanders ran against cronyism ironically)

Jane Sanders also supported her daughter's race to become Mayor of Burlington College in 2018. Carina lost but Jane tweeted about it, Our Revolution publicly supported her, and Jane, Jeff Weaver and others gave Carina's campaign money.
If Jane was not related to Bernie her past would certainly become an issue for him. Why the kid gloves for his wife?
