As someone who is regularly called some of the most racist names in the book by supporters of other candidates, it amuses me that some (often white) women think that they’re the only one who experience overwhelming volumes of negativity online. We should all be in this together.
I’m hopeful that more affluent women and men who at this stage aren’t as connected to this — the most working class, racially diverse movement in this race— can someday see themselves in it too. The real enemy are forces much more powerful than both of us.
I would never think to weaponize the abuse I’ve received — esp against a genuinely progressive candidate who represents the most diverse, working class constituency in the 2020 primary field. #bernie2020
