But the staff work on the House case is topnotch. Even as an in-the-weeds-observer of these developments, I find it hard to listen to the technical/factual details on how the Ukraine aid was withheld & not think HOLY SHIT all over again.

How can any senator not think the same? How can Inhofe — who *knew* how bad it was, hence he wrote to OMB? How could Thornberry — such a practical leader on these issues and partnerships in the past, who also wrote to OMB — still turn a blind eye to what POTUS was risking?
How can people who are retiring stay silent? What are they so afraid of?
And if these powerful, connected, wealthy people are so afraid of something so as to be paralyzed — shouldn’t we *all* be a lot more afraid?
