So remember those 3% of climate papers that disagree and say anthropogenic (people caused) warming isn't a thing, and isn't a problem? Well, turns out they're (shockingly) not replicable, and don't even agree with each other. link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Short version: Bad models (like doesn't replicate basic physics), over curve fitting (too many fit iterations or iterative outlier removal, bad data selection (ignoring records or context).

If you're curious about what things are killed by hand sanitizer, and not. Here's a good quick guide.

As noted in a previous post. Alcohol does not kill Noro, as it has a capsid shell.
Note: I did not make this diagram, I did not pick what's on it.

Note, again, that this is not saying sanitizer is better than hand washing. It's not. Hand washing is the gold standard.

But if you can't wash your hands, it's useful to know what will and won't be killed.

#EV (1/n) What fraction will be India's contribution to the global electric vehicle market. Any guesses?
We are a part of the top dark grey region consisting of 150 countries. Yes we are the largest in that perhaps.
#EV (2/n) In the US EVs cost more & will continue to do so for over half a decade than ICE. The battery cost when it drops as a % to car cost to 20% does EV make acquisition sense for a consumer(not including TCO).
How will this play out in India? How will v control r costs?
#EV (3/n) Incentives from a regulatory perspective will drive the initial thrust of EV adoption followed by economic sense in ownership. In India are we treading on the same path?

After the whole saga with @TVOvermind ripping off one of our posts yesterday, I started poking around there and have yet to find a single post that links to any sources. Which is weird because they aggregate a lot of news.
I also have been trying really hard to find the writer of their version of our Hans Moleman piece, who has pumped out five other articles, over 4k words, no links in any of them, since yesterday.
Look, I can’t conclusively prove that this writer isn’t a real person, but I consider myself a pretty good googler and have found no proof that he actually exists yet

"The climate has always changed."

You must immediately say "No, we understand all observed warming is now human caused, overwhelming any natural changes."

You're confusing "weather" and "climate." The world as a whole is warming. One cold day in one place doesn't disprove global climate science.

 If they say "The scientists are only in it for the money" you have two choices:

Say either "Scientists get paid far less than fossil fuel lobbyists & climate deniers, & whatever they're paid has no effect on the validity of the science."
Or call me for a "Fuck you" response.

Remember those reports that an Israeli chief rabbi denigrated the Judaism & synagogue of the Pittsburgh victims b/c they weren't Orthodox? Turns out, he did the exact opposite, and *defended* them against those in his community who denied their Jewishness. forward.com/life/faith/413…
A tiny snippet of the rabbi's interview was taken out of context to imply he said the reverse of what he did. And numerous media outlets ran with it, without bothering to watch the Hebrew interview and check the quote. Kudos to @avitalrachel for doing the work so many didn't.
Incidentally, I include myself in those who didn't do the work on this story. I didn't tweet or write about it, but I just assumed it was true, given what I know and have reported about the Israeli Chief Rabbinate. I'm thankful to @avitalrachel for setting me straight.
