.@NIA_India likely to get Jammu and Kashmir cadre IPS Nitish Kumar as it's fourth Inspector General. Kumar was serving on deputation in R&AW. It will be Kumar's second posting in the central counter-terrorism probe agency
He was one of the earlier recruits of the NIA then headed by RV Raju, also a J&K cadre officer
After serving in the NIA, Kumar went back to cadre and served as DIG South Kashmir and IG-North Kashmir before coming to R&AW on central deputation
Kumar will come to the NIA following the vacancy created after premature repatriation of @gpsinghassam to parent cadre Assam to control the situation in the wake of anti-CAA protests
NIA has four sanctioned posts of in the rank of Inspector General
