Ok #TeamPete, let me tell you all a quick story. I didn’t sleep well last night, kept waking up thinking about how much the next 9 days before the Iowa caucuses mean to me. [thread]
In the morning, I went door knocking in a rural area but nothing encouraging from the doors/leads and almost got stuck in the snow. This is in the same area that we had to rescue another organizer from a ditch yesterday.
Then I received this really bad news about my most important precinct in Marshall County. I texted Steve, my husband, about it and was trying to find the motivation to think of what to do.
One minute after, @Chas10Buttigieg called me to check in and to say thank you for all I’m doing “for Peter”. Being away from your family and working extended hours is challenging. But gestures like this phone call cost nothing and means so much for us on the ground. Thank you!! 
The timing of this call was unbelievable and gave me the energy boost I needed. I borrowed a truck from and went back to the woods to door knock. Found this beautiful driveway. The address was not on my list but they had a sign about veterans so I thought I should give it a try.
After the long driveway, a nice lady opens the door and immediately says: “I like Pete a lot. But I’m not ready to commit”. After a quick chat, she realizes what she wants most from the next President is to unite the country and she believes Pete is the one for that.
We kept talking and she mentioned that her Republican friends have been saying how much they respect Pete. Twenty minutes later, she committed to caucus for Pete and decided to step up to be our #TeamPete precinct captain!
And that is how I confirmed my last precinct captain in Marshall County, IA! We will win because there’s something really special about the good energy and the connection amongst people in this campaign. [/thread]
