The resolutions will be introduced by 6 political groups representing 626 of the 751 members of the European Parliament. They list more than a dozen counts of actions that are in violation of international norms & India’s commitments

These include actions in J&K after the dilution of Article 370, police firing on protestors in UP, reports of “torture during detention” and the potential for creating what it calls the “largest statelessness crisis in the world” and immense human suffering through the NRC.
It is deeply painful for every Indian to see democratic India’s global reputation for probity and commitment to human rights, built over decades, being tarnished in this manner by thoughtless, reckless decisions & actions.

To begin with, Hindutva excluded 20% of our population by equating nationhood with one religion. Now it is seeking to exclude over 50% by equating nationhood with language. As someone said recently, this just a trailer; the movie is yet to begin.
Ultimately, the mechanism of exclusion is intended to lead to the creation of a rigid social hierarchy, with power permanently in the hands of a few who 'deserve' to wield it because of 'merit' that has been bestowed on them by virtue of 'birth'.
When we get to this Golden Age, you can be reasonably sure that somewhere between 90 and 95 per cent would have been excluded under one pretext or another - caste, gender, eating habits...
